Seed pods of the akeake tree

Short one this week. The other day I was working from home and decided I needed some mini-breaks throughout the day. Just down and garden path and back. On such a beautiful day, the soul feels constricted sitting at a laptop for 8 hours. Yes, it is a fact of adult life, but I have to find ways to notice the outside world on days when I am at home and so close to it. As I walked down, the sunshine poured up the path and lit up these seed pods of the akeake tree. It was magical. I came back with my camera to try and capture them. It’s a balance with my camera as I don’t want to only view life through its lens. I most often just enjoy the moment before I get it out, but it is also a way in which I get closer to the moment and notice its details.
